The December 2011 Electronic Peace & Environment News (E-PEN):Volunteering
The Peace and Environment Resource Centre has an immediate opening for a Treasurer to serve on its Board of Directors. This volunteer position directs the activities of the bookkeeper, ensuring the integrity of PERC accounting records and the timely and accurate filing of regulatory reports. If you are an accounting professional with four hours a month to donate, we would like to hear from you.
PERC Visioning EventThank you to all who came out and gave input at the PERC Visioning Event! Please stay tuned for reflections and recommendations. We ask that all members plan to attend the spring AGM (date TBD) to help us decide what course we will take.

On the morning of Monday, September 19th, Walk4Justice for Missing and Murdered women arrived on Parliament Hill. This rally brought a call for action on the many unsolved and unresolved crimes against women throughout Canada and, in particular, the need for justice for the alarming proportion of these crimes that have been committed against Aboriginal women. |
