Volunteering

The Peace and Environment Resource Centre has an immediate opening for a Treasurer to serve on its Board of Directors.  This volunteer position directs the activities of the bookkeeper, ensuring the integrity of PERC accounting records and the timely and accurate filing of regulatory reports.  If you are an accounting professional with four hours a month to donate, we would like to hear from you.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the PERC; this is what makes PERC a truly grassroots organization. We are always looking for new volunteers who are interested in keeping the PERC vibrant and visible at the forefront of the local eco- and social-justice scene.  Are you interested in getting involved and making a difference in your community? Check out our  volunteer opportunities!

PERC is currently seeking volunteers for its two primary projects:

  • The PEN (Peace and Environment News) is looking for help with distribution. We also welcome articles from new writers. For information on the PEN, please contact Margaret Jensen, PEN editor, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • The PERC website project seeks to update our site and include multimedia and new social media articles on topics of environment, peace, and social justice issues. To volunteer with our web project, please contact Diana Brushey, Website Coordinator, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
